Meet Chili!! |
|
Making the hole for Chili!! |
|
Carefully (as much as a 3 year old can!!) putting Chili in the hole!! |
|
Time to water!! |
|
Ta Da!! Chili is in the pot!! |
|
Making a mud pie in the empty pot!! |
|
15 minutes later Chili was surrounded by mud pies and wombat stew!! |
I had no plans of taking photos of this however when we were walking out to plant Chili I picked my camera up off the floor (thanks kids) and the big one said I should take a photo with him and Chili and it went on from there!! 5 days on and Chili appears to be thriving!! The big one is very committed to Chili and has been checking him everyday, watering him and waiting to see some chilies growing!! I cannot wait to cook my
chili and garlic mushrooms with a home grown chili!!
Linking up with

That is lovely, I really need to get my girls gardening, I think they would have a blast :)
ReplyDeleteHe is loving it!! A fairly cheap hobby too as I have lots of pots reasdy for more things!!
DeleteI hope he doesn't just pick and bite when the fruit comes on..that could be a painful friendship!
ReplyDeleteHe knows!! I really should get something he can eat!!
DeleteGorgeous! Here's to Chili growing fast! x
ReplyDeleteThanks hopefully it will be a fast process!!
DeleteHe needs to come and give me gardening tips!
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the tips but he would happily make the holes and water all day!!
DeleteBeautifully planted! and who doesn't love a big pot of wombat stew?
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Wombat stew and mud pies are my favourite things in the world unless they are made in my pyrex mixing bowl!!
DeleteGreat photos. I love how children imitate life around them
ReplyDeleteHe is the worlds biggest imitator!! Thank you!!
DeleteGrowing plants with kids is so much fun. However a little hard to explain at times why there is no food on it the next day.
ReplyDeleteHe is being very patient, I am being more impatient than him!!
DeleteHe is such an outdoors kid it is right up his alley!!
He looks very handy in the garden. It's a fun activity to share with kids.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up !

DeleteFresh chili! I hope you get a good crop besides the ones that end up in mud pies and wombat stew!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping for a bumper crop what with using the mega good potting mix!!
DeleteChilli! no way, my kids couldnt help themselves but stick it in an eye or mouth or something (and probably not their own)
ReplyDeleteHa I have no doubt that might happen although if it does they won't do it again!! I should trty and find a kid friendly one!!
