Wordless Wednesday- Last Friday
This is what happened last Friday afer a week of solid rain. It bucketed down here all day on Friday and luckily the boys and I were home as I had to clear out the blocked drain so the water would go down!! We have lived here for 9 years and I have never seen the creek across the road from my place(top 2 pictures) running lke it did. Thankfully Mother Nature turned the tap off on Sunday and its been sunshine and clear skies ever since!!

Me
Oh goodness what a lot of water. Sigh, I miss the rain, still 3 months to go here
ReplyDeleteoh no!! We had rain lastnight - with our new patio that was put in last week I am yet to check if its flooded or not - Needed it to rain to check if we need any flood holes in the bricks!
ReplyDelete#WW visiting :)
Please send some of it this way. Much longer and our crops will be dead. Hoping for rain within the week!
ReplyDeleteI wish mother nature would learn a bit of constraint. It's either no rain or torrential. Neither of them are very helpful.
ReplyDeleteWowzers that is a lot of water!!!!! Good thing you were home. That rain was crazy wasn't it? My kids were all climbing the walls by Sunday and desperate to get outside xx
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are safe, the creek would have been a worry, would have carried little ones away. xx
ReplyDeleteWe had the same...lots of RAIN!! And we were wondering if we had to use the canoe to get from our motorhome to the toilet block :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you were home to help with the drain issues...wouldn't be good to have it blocked and filling up with more {especially if you weren't home}
Glad the rain is now gone and we have sunshine once again.
Bugger, we're lucky to be elevated and so don't have to worry about flooding, just boggy lawn for weeks :) Stay safe
