#FFFi14 and Bloggers Boogie- Story

Little White Dove

A new year and a new reading challenge from Little White Dove.  Last year was 13/13, read 13 books in 2013.  I managed 4 which was 2 more than 2012 so I called it a win and am not too sad about it!!  I did however read about 500 childrens books!!

This year is to pick 5 books you have always wanted to read and read them.  Simple!!

I have got 2 in mind so far.  The first is Sycamore Row by John Grisham.  The second is the new Bridget Jones book.  Now I am stumped.  I need 3 more.  I want to read a biography, a non fiction and maybe some kind of classic.  Any suggestions very welcome!!

Turns out Bloggers Boogie is back Yay!!  My 5 for this week are all story related!!  Yes I did add OneD I really like the song!!  Brandi Carlile is from Greys Anatomy, and the last song is from The Princess Bride and I am so glad I rediscovered it today!!

Linking up a sneaky Saturday post with Little White Dove for Bloggers Boogie and also making this a Things I Know with The Miss Cinders because I know I am excited about reading five whole books!!

  1. My favourite books are all fiction so might not fit your brief but I'll give them to you anyway.
The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
    Chocolat - Joanne Harris
    Plain Truth - Jodi Picoult
    Midwife's Confession - Dianne Chamberlain.

  2. I didn't know there was a new Bridget Jones book! How exciting ... does that mean there'll be another film too? I can't think of any biographies that I'd recommend off the top of my head, but I really enjoyed Richard Branson's autobiography 'Losing my Virginity'. I really like some of the South American authors like Isabel Allende and Paulo Coelho. Their novels aren't classics, but I think they're great reads.

  4. Ohh I might have to join in with the reading challenge!

    I recommend:
    April Fools Day: Bryce Courtenay
    Juliet: Anne Fortier
    Warm Bodies: Isaac Marion

The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare isn't too bad too.

  6. Good luck on getting your books read. I haven't read anything but kids books for years, so I have nothing to suggest! I really enjoy reading a good book too, maybe it's something I can strive for this year, 1 book!!

  9. Okay that's a tough question, my top 3 I read last year are -
    *To Kill a Mocking Bird.
*The Book of Joe - I love this book, I've read it like 5 times lol
    *Cloudstreet.

Not sure how many books I read last year, I know it was a lot! My dream would be to own a house, just so I could build a massive library in it.
