Comfort Korner - Review and Giveaway

When my very good friend of about a million years came up with this amazing idea of making personalised night lights I had to get in on the ground floor.  I was given one to review and put it through its paces.  At $40 plus postage these are a great investment for a little sanity saving.

Aren't they so very cute and a fun idea to get bedtime to be a little more stress free!!



As you can see the team at Comfort Korner can put just about any image on to one of these night lights.  Making them not just for little ones but for anyone!!  I am thinking of getting one with my logo to pop over my desk!!

Since Kindy kid was given one with his beloved Skylanders on as a "test run" the 3 year old has requested one too!!  The beauty of being able to design your own means I can get one made for him with a plane or space rocket on which is totally what he is into!!

We have had one of these lights for about 3 weeks and it has come in handy a few times now.  The two big boys share a room and bedtime can be a little bit of a battle sometimes!!  The 3 year old has (sadly) dropped his day sleep meaning he is begging to go to bed at 7 ish but Kindy kid is going through that rebellious not going to bed stage so to keep the peace he has been allowed to read in bed for a short time before going to sleep.  This light has been perfect as it gives off just enough light to read but not enough to disturb the other one.

Apart from having a "personalised" light one of the highlights for Kindy kid has been the pull string to turn it on and off!!  I will eventually attach the light to the side of the tall boy but for now it is sitting on top of it!!

This weeks LBD challenge over at Ms Mystery Case is all about the competition running at the moment by a blogging agency to win a trip to Dubai.  I have to admit Dubai is not on my travel list simply because I could not handle the heat!!  I chose this outfit as Dubai has quite strict clothing requirements

Clothing: Woman's clothing may be considered indecent if it is tight, transparent, above the knee or shows her stomach, shoulders or back. Men should wear T-shirts at all times and short shorts can attract the wrong kind of attention.
Swimwear: Wearing bathers outside the beach is against Dubai's decent laws and swimsuits in general should be modest. Nudity at beaches is illegal.

I think my outfit would suit!!

In other news we finally got concrete down in our backyard and after months of having patches of dirt which was traipsed through the house having a garden with grass and no dirt will be fab!!  

We then have to finish off the last parts which I honestly cannot see happening anytime soon unfortunately!! 

Could we all please send all the positive vibes that the new seal for my dishwasher arrives sooner rather than later, 4 days of hand washing dishes has made me realise how much I love my dishwasher!!  



Last but not least, tomorrow is Remembrance Day. The two littlest and I are off to the service at our local memorial.  I was inspired to attend this year as the preschool will be taking the kids who go on a Tuesday and I think this is a great idea so we will be joining them.  I am hoping the school has a special assembly so Kindy Kid can be a part of it too.

We will remember them.

Things I Know #32- Quotes of the week

Never a truer meme!!  I went to the shops on Sunday and I swear I heard the end of a carol as I walked into the supermarket!!  Then today there was full blown carols being played everywhere.  This is one of my least favourite yet it is played all the time!!


 I saw this quote the other day and love it.  So very very true.

My Rocky Road recipe, I plan on using the little patty cases to make smaller servings and also to make it poo shaped because I am all class and have lived with boys for way too long and I find toilet humour amusing!!  I will be sure to let on my plan went!!

Things I Know #31- Halloween and over to you

I know I am missing blogging at the moment, I knew at the start of the week there wouldn't be many spare pockets of time.  I was right!!  All good though and no real complaints about it from me!!  Hopefully next week is a brand new week.

I also know it is Halloween.  I am not the worlds biggest fan of Halloween, this year I am sort of forced into it thanks to a bloody school fundraiser.  So not only do we have to participate but it is going to cost a tonne of money too.  Jackpot!!  I enjoy seeing all the fun things people get up too on Halloween though!!

I need your help with two things this week guys-

1.  I am going to join in the Mystery Case outfit under $50 challenge however I have no idea what I should enter- casual, dressy??
2. When I say Christmas Food you say??  Pretty broad question I know!!

Things I Know #30- 401st blog post

I know not much of anything this week.

Being sick sux, although judging by a ridiculous "article" I saw on one of those crap websites I should be grateful about being a sahm and not whinge about how tough it is to be sick and have kids.  Sure, I love feeling like crap and not being able to call in sick and spend a day quietly resting while someone takes care of me and runs around after my delightful little angels.

Sorry lady but EFFF OFF.  You can't tell me that everyday of your sahm existence is filled with rainbow farting unicorns.  It is perfectly fine to acknowledge the shit parts as well as the good.  So eff you and the horse you rode in on.

I suppose I should be dancing in joy that my dear sweet 14 month old has a promising career in baseball or cricket as he has perfected the art of throwing at a target with pin point accuracy.  The target being my head while I was trying to have quiet time on the lounge and his choice of object being anything he could get his grubby little hands on. For the record my sunglasses hurt more than the remote.  Yep awesome, I can't imagine that being a tad annoying.

I feel my children are extremely gifted or have a sixth sense as with the slightest headache their behaviour goes from feral to completely out of control in about 2 seconds flat.  Ooops probably shouldn't call them feral!!

Anyway rant over!!  I normally skip right past those inflammatory articles but this one got right under my skin!!

I am celebrating today as this is my 401st blog post.  401 posts of lord knows what, maybe I should actually read them one day!!  At least 80% would have a dodgy you tube vid like my new fave one above!!
